"A Sacred Dissonance: Hallelujahs Threaded With Tears"

In Ezra 3, the foundation of the new temple was laid, and yet not everyone celebrated — some rejoiced, while others wept for what had been lost. In this sacred dissonance, amid the hallelujahs that were threaded with tears, we are reminded to honor the past with reverence even as we embrace God’s call to restoration and look forward with hope and anticipation to the new life and splendor God is building among us.
