Go & Tell: A True Rumor Worth Spreading

Just as an ice cream truck’s tune invites its hearers to taste something sweet, the gospel invites us to taste and share the goodness of Christ. In John 21, the resurrected Jesus calls Peter—not to compare himself with others, but to simply follow. Our discipleship is not about measuring against another’s journey, but about living as those deeply loved by Jesus. Unlike rumors that distort the truth, this is a “true rumor” worth spreading: that in Christ we are beloved, forgiven, and called to follow him daily. Having tasted this sweetness, we are sent to go and tell so that others may share in God’s grace.
