Rev. David Strope
Pastor Strope has studied at Valley Forge Christian College (B.S.), Westminster Theological Seminary (M.A.R.), Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div), and the American Institute of Holy Land Studies in Jerusalem (now Jerusalem University College). He was youth pastor at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Clayton, NJ for 2 years; pastor of the Malaga and Willow Grove United Methodist Churches for 4 years; and has been the lead pastor of West Park United Methodist Church since 1990.
Pastor Chris performed his undergraduate studies at Cairn University and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Biblical Studies with a focus on Youth Ministry, and in August 2021, he completed a Master’s of Arts in Religion degree. He has been a part of the West Park Family since 2010, where he volunteered his time and completed his internship with the Youth Group before officially coming on staff serving as the Assistant and Youth Pastor since 2015. Pastor Chris lives in Hopewell with his wife Lauren and their two daughters Lucie Grace and Elinor (Nora) Mae.
Danny received his electrical degree from Cumberland County Technical Education Center in 1999, received his firefighter certification from Gloucester County Fire Academy in 1999 and became a Fire Investigator through the Division of Criminal Justice in 2016. Over the years he has conquered many health issues and is a brain tumor survivor. Along with his wife Jenna, son Dominic and daughter Maddie, they formed Team Cyber Knives, which advocate for The National Brain Tumor Society. In 2018 they created a "Christian based Woodworking Business" Upper Room Custom Creations LLC. In 2014 he became a youth leader for West Park and is an integral part of our VBS and Technology Teams.
Director of Music Ministries
Karen received her Bachelor Of Science degree in Music Education from West Chester University in 1993 and her Master of Arts in Worship Studies: Music from Liberty University Theological Seminary in 2014. Since 1993 she has been employed as a music teacher for the Bridgeton Public Schools and began working with West Park in their music ministry department in 2006. She resides in Shiloh with her husband, Brett and their daughter, Anna. In addition to school and church music, Karen is active in community theater and she and Anna serve as co-chairs for West Park's Operation Christmas Child ministry.
